Maxie has just revealed Nadine’s presence in Matt’s room.

Matt: Why are you hiding in my bedroom?

Nadine: I — I don’t know why that would be so hard to figure –

Maxie: As if you didn’t know she was here.

Matt: I didn’t.

Maxie: Oh, the rental agreement says no overnight visitors and that includes during-the-day hookups.

Matt: Is that what’s going on? You two are working together? You set me up?

Maxie: No, I didn’t.

Nadine: It’s the spaghetti.

Matt: The what?

Nadine: Yeah, uh, the fusilli or fuselodge — whatever I spilled on you the night at dinner?

Maxie: Dinner? See, you guys are dating. I knew it.

Matt: It wasn’t a date.

Nadine: No, it was an accident. Not the dinner, the pasta. And I feel really bad because I know money’s a really big issue for you right now, and I ruined that shirt and I wanted to replace it.

Matt: You broke in here to give me a shirt?

Nadine: Yeah.

Maxie: So where is it? Where’s the shirt?

Nadine: I don’t have it. I need to check the size.

Maxie: Could you help her out? She’s like the worst liar I’ve ever heard.

Matt: I didn’t know she was in here, okay, I swear.

Maxie: Why don’t you just admit it? You left work early for my cheese enchilada and a quickie.

Matt: That — that is ridic — those two do not go together.

Maxie: Why else would you be home during the day? You know, I really hope Nikolas doesn’t find out about this. He’d be really disappointed.

Nadine: You know what? You can tell Nikolas whatever you want, okay? I don’t have to listen to any of this. No.

Maxie: Well, I hope your little booty call was enjoyable because it’s about to get you evicted.

Matt: So you want to tell me why you were in my room, or should I call Nikolas?

Nadine: You can call anybody you want.

Matt: Listen, you think he’s really going to want to know that his very well-paid employee broke into the police commissioner’s house and is stalking the recipient of the Cassadine fellowship?

Nadine: Do you want me to dial the number for you?

Matt: Just — okay, why were you in my room?

Nadine: I was trying to find evidence.

Matt: About what?

Nadine: Look, I know you’re involved with this counterfeit drug ring.

Matt: Where would you get such a crazy idea?

Nadine: Don’t misunderstand me, okay? I’m not about to turn you in. I want in on the action.

Nadine: You think I haven’t noticed what’s been going on around here? You’ve been dropping hints for weeks, making all these strange phone calls, setting me up to walk in on you.

Matt: And what is it that I’m supposed to be doing?

Nadine: You’re stealing medication from the clinic, selling it on the black market, and then replacing the real meds with sugar pills. You must be making a fortune. I want in.

Matt: Oh, yeah, sure. No problem, Nancy Drew.

Nadine: Don’t worry, I’m cool.

Matt: Nadine — Nadine, you are like one of the most uncool people that I have ever met. There is no way that you are interested in doing something illegal. Okay, it’s very obvious, very obvious that you are trying to set me up. So if you don’t back off, and just –

Nikolas: Want to keep your voice down just a bit?

Matt: Yeah, yeah. Just do me a favor and tell nurse nut case to stop breaking into my bedroom, or I’m going to call the cops.

Nikolas: Oh, God. So let me guess. You were just about to trick him into confessing everything and I walked in and messed it all up, right?

Nadine: That is exactly right.

Nikolas: Why would he get involved with counterfeit drugs? He’s got too much to lose.

Nadine: If you’d ever been broke, you wouldn’t say that. I’m just going to have to find some other way to catch him because I’m not giving up.
