An Introduction to Nadine
Claire Coffee began her tenure as Nadine Crowell on October 8, 2007. Nadine has the misfortune to be the sister of the infamous Jolene Crowell, who was a nurse at General Hospital a few months earlier. Jolene orchestrated the deaths of several patients and arranged for several other accidents around the hospital in an effort to have the hospital be taken over by an HMO. Jolene was shot and is in a coma.
Nadine came to visit her sister and decided to stay, hoping that if she did well at GH, she would be able to balance out her sister’s actions. She immediately befriended Damien Spinelli, who escorted her to the Black and White Ball where she was mistaken for Lulu by the insane Anthony Zacchara and chased around the hospital.
Nadine escaped from Anthony and made it through the night alive. She found herself immersed in the search for the Text Message Killer trying to help Nikolas Cassadine, a patient at the hospital. She forced him to be realistic about his brain tumor and was a deciding factor when Nikolas went to have the surgery. She and Nikolas grew close and she finds herself attracted to him, though he still mourns his murdered fiancee, Emily Quartermaine.
Nadine now assists Nikolas at the new clinic in Emily’s memory to assist patients in need. She finds herself embroiled in two mysteries: the strange wave of counterfeit drugs being passed around Port Charles and the murder of Logan Hayes.
